Manu Kōrero

Kātahi te rangi pai ko tēnei. Kua tū kaha, kua tū māia, kua tū Māori ā tātou tāmariki. Kīkī te ruma ki te tāngata e tautoko ana i tēnei kaupapa whakahirahira. Tēnā koutou katoa.

What a fantastic day this was. Our tamariki stood with strength, stood with confidence and stood as Māori. Our room was overflowing with people supporting this important event. Thank you to everyone.

Putiputi

This week we have been working on our school 'beautification' project . Outside Tipu and Rea we now have putiputi planted in painted tin cans. We are really proud of how they look.

Halves and quarters

We are learning about fractions. Yesterday we made sandwiches and cut them in half ( to share with 2 people) and quarters( to share with 4 people)

Te whakamārama: This waiata takes us on a journey across the rohe pōtae of Ngāi Tahu. Commencing at the northern boundary, travelling across the plains, past Aoraki, down to the southern waters and then back up the western side of Te Waipounamu

Calendar art

Today we finished our calendar art. We're just going to give you a sneaky peak of some but we are sure you will want to buy a calendar or notebook with our beautiful art on it.

We read the story Tangaroa's gift. It's about a paua who received a beautiful shell from the god of the sea.
